SampleRobot 7 Sneak Peek @ Superbooth

SampleRobot 7 Sneak Peek @ Superbooth25

Spring is back in Berlin and so is Superbooth. If you are into electronic music and are in town from the 8th till the 10th of May you should not miss the wonderful opportunity to visit the latest Superbooth edition which is located at the far east of the city in the forest of 'Wuhlheide'. As always it promises a lot of fun, nice people to talk to, great live music and creative tools, inventions and surprises that could be part of your next music project.

We don't have a booth there but we'll be around to give a sneak peek of the upcoming SampleRobot 7 update. It's exactely 20 years ago when we showed SampleRobot 1.0 at the Musikmesse in Frankfurt. Even before its release we had some pre-orders including one from a famous electronic music artist with the initials RDJ. He somehow became aware of it.

It was a very exciting start and it's been quite a journey. We are very glad that SampleRobot has found its home at so many studios around the world. We have received so many nice messages over the years. It's really heart-warming and a motivation for future development.

Here are the latest examples:

'Just dropping you a line to say Thanks again- I use SampleRobot every day, multiple hours a day on sometimes four systems at once (between my two licenses) and couldn’t do what I do without it.
I’ve recently built a small sampling rig that I can send in the mail and control remotely, all powered off SampleRobot.
Excited for the Version 7 and very intrigued as to what you’ve been up to…
Keep doing what you’re doing and I’ll keep spreading the word.'

'I'm an avid user of Samplerobot 6--you've really opened up my musical sound design options, especially since you added Waldorf Iridium support. I was going to upgrade to Pro to get 24 bit export capability, and saw that you're about to release Samplerobot 7, which is super exciting.
The Cyberpunk-style Intro Video piece at the top of my playlist has plenty of Samplerobot-driven sound design on it. Most of the drums and basses are made from samples of computer hardware that I cut up into samples with Samplerobot, exported to Waldorf Iridium, and then after manipulating them further, I re-sampled (with SR) to use as drums in Superior Drummer 3 so that I could trigger them with MIDI.  It was a few days of work, but I feel like it would have been a few weeks without Samplerobot's help.'
