Two new hardware sampler instruments that were presented at this year's Superbooth seem particularly interesting to us. One is the 1010music bento - sampling production lab and the other one is Tasty Chips' GR-MEGA - Granular workstation. Both instruments support custom sample import and advanced manipulation and modulation. GR-MEGA offers hands-on controls for various granular parameters while bento features touch-sensitive pads and complex sequencing capabilities.
We contacted both companies to support their sample/mapping formats in SampleRobot so that users of their instruments can prepare custom sample banks with SampleRobot. Pieter from Tasty Chips and Aaron from 1010music were so kind to provide preliminary format information. It is planned to add both exports to the upcoming SampleRobot version 7 release as soon as we receive demo units for debugging purposes. Thank you very much, Tasty Chips and 1010music.
